Thinxtra are the company deploying the world-leading Sigfox LPWA network in Australia and New Zealand, as well as building a full eco-system of IoT solutions to enable greater connectivity.
So why use the Sigfox network? Here are a few reasons:
Up to 10-20 years battery life
Up to 50 kms
As low as $2-3 per year*
*At high volumes, also dependent on location and connectivity
Strong Security Mechanisms
at every step
The Sigfox IOT network has been specifically designed and priced for small message transmission for a variety of IoT/M2M applications such as:
Existing network solutions were not designed for low-throughput applications such as these. The Sigfox technology and network provides a low power, cost-efficient and mature LPWAN network ready for use today.
Security of data is a key focus for Sigfox and they address data protection via in-built measures at every step of the process. This includes the protocol (authentication, integrity, encryption, anti-replay, anti-jamming) and data protection at rest via cryptographic storage of data and credentials in devices, base stations, and the Sigfox Core Network.
Coverage & Pricing:
Thinxtra are already supporting many heavily-populated urban areas in Australia and New Zealand and are on track to 95% population coverage.
They can also provide additional coverage for regional and remote locations by providing network coverage as a service using their mini base stations for remote sites. Visit the Sigfox website to view the coverage map: www.sigfox.com/coverage.
