Melbourne, Australia – February 8, 2013: M2M Connectivity launches the GTTS-2000B from GTT Systems B.V. of the Netherlands, manufacturers of quality tracking and tracing systems. The GTSS-2000B uses the Iridium satellite network to track and trace assets worldwide with coverage of inhabited areas, oceans, desserts and north and south poles. The Iridium satellite network is the largest commercial satellite constellation in the world.
The GTTS-2000B modem reports GPS location and speed at defined time intervals over Iridium SBD network to your PC/server. The ruggedized housing of the GTTS-2000B guarantees failsafe operation, withstanding the most extreme conditions.
Installation time is kept to a minimum with the provision of magnetic mounting and integrated Iridium and GPS Antennas. An integrated motion sensor and specially designed hardware and software ensure that a maximum of position and status reports can be generated from the batteries’ life span. The unit can send approximately 3650 messages from one battery. The reporting frequency and other settings are “Over The Air” reconfigurable.
“We are delighted to offer the GTS-2000B in Australia and New Zealand” says Darren Moroney, General Manger of M2M Connectivity, “With reliable global coverage on the Iridium network, the GTTS-2000B meets the needs of customers without modifications, add-ons or special software versions.”
