M2M & IoT News for August 2017
Next month will see the launch of the IoT Adoption Index, designed to measure Australia’s IoT maturity by establishing benchmarks tracking IoT deployments across verticals such as smart utilities, smart cities, and smart agriculture.
Gartner recently forecast that 21 billion IoT devices will be connected worldwide, 6% of which will be utilised in the IIoT (Industrial Internet of Things). Although Australia’s adoption has been slow compared to its global counterparts, the IoT Alliance of Australia has predicted that industrial and Smart City connections could be worth AU$120 billion a year by 2025.
M2M Connectivity works with a number of leading hardware brands and Satellite networks, and can help you to identify the best fit technology for your applications – please contact us if this is of interest.
