March 2013

In regard to the Internet of Things (IoT), we are in a state of great change and the rapid change in technology is all about speed, according to Richard Kitts (Cisco A/NZ vice-president).  The challenge for every industry is adaptation and he offers an example of the gains to be made from 4G in streamlining and creating efficient processes, business in social environments or value creation. With mobile apps etc. just the tip of the iceberg for the IoT, the trends point to data growth. Kitts predicts opportunities for service providers in banking and retail space with verticals to focus on healthcare, education and government.
We feature LTE, satellite and zigbee products and information on connectBlue android and iOS bluetooth technology for industrial and medical applictions.  M2M Connectivity will be exhibiting at Vision 2013 with Sierra Wireless early May.
